Sure, but getting them fully off the car is generally more work, then filling them from under the car.

I used 30wt single vis oil (motor oil), Seems to work well, definately more damping than the old shock oil. There was concern by other that the oil would easily aerate. but I hav'nt seen a drop in performance, even under very spirited driving.
My next trick is to return to the shock oil, and perform a modification of the bound and rebound valves to give proper damping with the better but thinner shock oil.
