IN the June 98 edition of "Excellence " Magazine there is an article about a guy that had his 356 porsche dipped. He writes of the pros and cons of all the other alternatives as well as the benefits and shortcomings of each. Obviosly dipping requires complete stripping of the entire cir and suspension.

He said that chemicals have a tendency to leach out of crevasses and ruin new paint. I had my '62 sandblasted and it saved me alot of time and effort and cost $600. You'll need a good vacuum for getting the grit out of all the nooks and crannies buy it gives you a great surface to prime. Just make sure you use a self etching primer compatable with the paint you plan to use.

Good luck
