I am starting on my SV engine. Any thoughts on the following: this engine was rebuilt in '79, driven 500 miles then the car was totaled and has sat since then, stored and turned occasionally. I removed the head only to find what I have read about: the engine had turned into a battery and corroded the inside of the water jackets.
After cleaning out as much as I could, one jacket has corroded dangerously close to the cylinder wall. What can I do?
