I think that an engine swap can be cleanly done so that if one wanted to later return the car to original it could be done. I did recently see a Volvo 240 with a BAD job of a 5.0 swap. I wouldn't want to be around when it was in a wreck. I looked like someone gas welded the motor mounts and that weren't any good at gas welding.

Still looking for suggestions on what engine to put in my SV.

Suggestions so far:

Ford 1.6 and 2.0 ( because of performance parts availability) Ford 2.8 V6 Ford 2.3 Ford 2.3 Turbo Mazda Rotary Chevy 2.8 Overhead cam
