David,

Did that white car have a blue racing stripe down the center? If so, it was probably Don Sesslar, of Columbus, Ohio. Don competed in Alpines from 1961 to 1964 and finished in the top 3 in SCCA National competition. He won the F Production National Championship in 1964.
