As you know the linings run in oil and virtually never wear. If the linings are above the rivets, it should be perfectly usable . Try a company here in San Diego (Enhanced Performance (619)258-5940) if you get really stuck. They may be able to help.

Incidentally, would you consider adding the shocks info to the alternative parts we/you started. I fitted the '68 Buick Riviera front shocks and they work fine with a little modificaltion to the lower mounting bush (on the shock).
