Further to my message last week after dropping the engine into the 1953 Sunbeam Talbot Saloon, today it came to life after sitting 34 years in Allentown, PA without an engine. It gave me two problems, one a clogged fuel line from the pump to the carb. (not sure why I didn't check this before installing it) and the other was the points, although new, had corroded enough not to give a good contact. She fired on close to the first revolution and ran very smoothly but you should have seen the mouse nest come flying out the tailpipe! Quite a sight! Now I have to do some adjustments like set the timing with the light, make a manual choke setup, and a lot of small stuff. Should be out on the road next week. By coincidence, It is two years to the week that Pat & I drove down to pick it up. It was one happy day in Nova Scotia!
Later, Bob
