AAA

The battle with AAA on my car has escalated. If you may recall, I had two Sunbeam experts tell me it would take $8,000 or more to do the work right. The AAA adjuster said it would take $3,200! I had my body shop do an estimate and send it to the AAA. That estimate came out at $7,000. The AAA adjuster left me a message that the body shop was way off and unreasonable. I faxed him a letter that his estimate was unreasonable because it based its times on what his "book" says it will cost to fix a Karmann Ghia - which has fenders that bolt on and off and has a flat floor panel, with none of the crossmembers that we have that now need to be straightened. He responded in a voicemail that he would then total it by "AAA guidelines", to which I responded that I have an appraiser who says it is worth over $10,000, and I know of three Alpines that have sold recently for over $10,000, and I know a number of people who have seen all the cars and will say my car is/was the best, so that if he is not near those numbers, we will settle this in court. AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
