My Alpine, 1960 series 1, has been in the family since 1964. My brother paid $1,000 (which my Mom and Dad thought was way too much). It's engine was replaced with a series II engine. My older brother gave me the car when he married in 1969. I restored it in 1972 and replaced the tranny and front suspension from a series V. I let it sat from 1977 to present. However, it WILL be running next month. My plans are a complete restoration and I have a Ford 2.8 V6 on an engine stand ready to be fitted.
