Grille badges on early grilles

I've been wrestling with trying to attach two really neat grille badges to my Series 3. You 4 & 5 owners have it easy, but us early grille owners have to get clever with attaching them to a grille that is not flat. If you simply wire it up flat against the sloping grille you can't see the badge. How do you attach these things yet keep them facing straight? Scott Christie
