A move and return to school forces me to sell my 1966 Series V. I am in
Maine, so the car is a bit off the beaten path. It is for the most part in
good original condition. I have owned it for 8 years, and done only minor
repairs. It has a hardtop, tonneau and boot, all in excelent shape. The
soft top needs to be replaced. The body had been repainted at some point -
not a great job but it looks good. There is a bit of bondo repair on the
outer rockers, but the inner sills, etc all seem very good. The doors close
square and solid, so it seems to be in good shape structurally. The rest of
the body is very straight - not a dent or ding, and no apparent repairs.
Drive train is solid, interior is good. It has wires, and one hub, right
rear, is knocking a bit. Tires are excellent. The only major problem is the
servo unit, which needs either to be rebuilt or replaced. I haven't
registered or insured the car this year, with all the other stuff going on
in my life, so I haven't dealt with the brake problems.
It really is a great looking and driving car, but I want to be honest about
what it needs. I would like to get $2600 for it. I hate to sell it, and am
still looking for a free or very cheap storage situation, but, if you or
anyone you know is interested, let me know. You can call me at (207)
236-8660 or e-mail me.
