If the radio's output is 40 amps, you are almost capable of having your
own Pink Floyd concert at home as this translates to 480 watts. I
actually would guess that you mean 40 watts which is about 4 amps anmd
is typical for a car radio. This also assumes that you are using it at
full volume.
