Windshield

What is a good price for a used windshield these days? How much has it cost y'all to get a glass shop to put in a new windshield? I am trying to get USAA Insurance to go ahead and pay me $200 and I will put in my own used glass. Maybe I am being paranoid, but I'd just rather do it myself and make sure the glass is in right, the frame is caulked in and lined-up.

I've been quoted $475, before tax, by a glass shop to install. I saw the prior e-mail about a clear, new shield for $240.

I must admit that the glass is on a parts car and the $200 is to pay for it and all the other goodies I can get off it. You would think I was a sheep-killing dog or something. It seemed fair! Especially since I would still have to buy the gasket and sealing caulk. I guess I stepped out of their neat lines or something. Shame really, I've never had any problem with USAA before this.

I'm sure we will come to some agreement, but I may have to accept a lesser amount and provide receipts written in blood. If y'all can help me with how much it cost you under similar circumstances, It may provide me with ammunition.
