I performed the swap to bolt ons about 4 years ago.

You will need front hubs, these are the same for all year alpines. The bearings are the same, but you'll need to pick up the appropriate bearing seal for your year.

In the rear, you will need to get the set of rear hubs. There are two types, series 1 to 4, and series 5.

You'll need the series 1 to 4, they are NOT interchangable with SV hubs.

Replace the rear seals and gaskets while your at it.

You'll need a special puller for the rear hubs. The puller can be made by taking both right and left knock-offs, drilling an apropriate sized hole in the center, install the threaded shaft from a conventional pully puller inside the hole in the knock off, with a nut on the shaft on the axle side of the knock off.

Remove the hub retainer nut on the end of the axle, it will likely have a cotter pin in it, so remove it first.

Tighten the knock off till it is on the hub tight, then screw the threaded shaft till the center hits the axle. Tighten to about 80 lb ft, then hit the end of the shaft with a mallet, then tighten again. Do this till it comes of..

Also, you'll need later type brake drums, or machine the balancing tabs off the drums. Failure to do one of the two, will result in your wheel falling off at the least opportune time.

Keep the splined hubs when you are done, they hold more than sentimental value.

Having all the parts in hand, this is a 8 beer job. Perhaps a weekend, 2 x 4 beer days.
