For all of you within reach of chicago, one of the largest ever British car shows is scheduled for September 13. It regularly has thousands - yes thousands - of cars on display, with about 20+ of them Sunbeams. Five or six Alpines and the rest Tigers, with an occasional Imp. It would be nice to see more Alpines - in any condition - at the show.

The show is the British Car Festival, sponsored by the British Car Union. It takes place on a huge parking lot at Oakton community College, Des Plaines - a short distance north of chicago's O'Hare airport, and close to Interstate 294.

Pre-registration is $12.00 per car and includes an enameled pin and a shot at many door prizes and gifts.
