Hmmm, my understanding was the later diaphragm cover would work with a roller bearing, the coil type would not. Hence my wanting to change to the diaphragm cover in order to use a roller bearing. There are a couple guys in my car club that have used the roller bearing. Apparently you need a roller bearing with a teflon coating so it will 'slide' across the disphragm fingers. If you dont have this coating the clutch shudders terribly.

Yes, I queried this and was told that's why I need the diaphragm plate.

Well, what sort of throw-out bearing are listers using? Roller or
carbon? If it's a roller what sort of pressure plate and how long has
your setup lasted?
