The very best thing you can do is join STAR (Sunbeam Talbot Alpine Register), a British club catering to these cars. It's even easy for us Yanks. They have a US representative who will accept checks in US dollars and handle the conversion. He is Peter Woodall, 18801 NW 47th Ave., Ridgefield WA 98642. A check for $28 will buy you a one year membership. They have a very good spares department, but you gotta join first.

"Talbot" Alpine production started in 1953 and ended in 1957. All of the US cars that I've come across have been '53s or '54s. Perhaps they were just too dated for American tastes after that.
