Sorry to be unaccurate, Torque is there, but revs come very slovly. I was trying to say: acceleration is poor, "the engine runs on glue and tar" (was that Doors text like this???), but after 2500 rpm it don't be so bad.

I am quite sure that I must seek problems from the carb settings, but I asked because I have found several parts which were taken from different Rootes cars during the restoration about 20 years ago.
