We've seen over the past few days how a mailing list can suddenly take the low road, and forget it purpose. We've all, presumably, subscribed to this list because we're enthusiastic about, or at least interested in, Sunbeam Alpines. Until now, that seems to have been enough to keep the list largely upbeat, friendly, and helpful.

I would suggest that we aim our posts at Alpine-related topics, and avoid regional or personal slurs and name-calling. It is easy to sit alone in front of an impersonal monitor and flame someone because of where they live or what they want to do with their car. Who knows, we may meet that same person at SUNI III, or when we're desperate for a particular part. Given the importance of our network for exchange of parts, information, and comradely, what do we gain by alienating each other?

I'd like to see us get back on the high road and keep it civil.
