James, I had the same problem a while ago and tried JB Weld.. it did not last. I had a guy come by with an oxy/acet. welder on the back of his pickup and he fixed it for $20. All I did was take the carbs and the intake manifold off as one piece and placed heat shields in a couple of places to protect the paintwork and the wiring. Tony Leeming SeriesII
