Lister,
I just returned from a short drive to the area of Blandford/Peggys Cove
St. Margarets Bay area where the MD11 crashed two days ago. It is a very
sobering sight to walk along a beach and see the military picking up
wreckage and "parts" from the shoreline and placing it in garbage bags.
Out on the water, Canadian Navy vessels traverse the area while
helicopters, and search aircraft (including an old DC3) fly slowly by still
looking
for the main fusilage section(s). Very sad for the 229 souls aboard and their
families. Be thankful for every day you are alive and live it to the fullest.
Pat and I said silent prayers as we watched.
Regards,
Bob & Pat
