Superlites

Ahem,

People. I have an uneasy feeling that we may be talking about two
different wheels/wheel companies here. Remember that I've only been in
this Brit-car thing for about a year, so I know not what is available
around the world.

The wheels that are made here in Australia are made by PERFORMANCE
INDUSTRIES. They make a range of wheels, and one of that range is called
the "Superlite". It looks a lot like a Minilite wheel. The centre cap
reads "Performance". It is only available in two offsets for each rim
size.

>From Jarrid's post it seems there is a company in England called
SUPERLITE WHEELS LIMITED, that make but one style of wheel also looking
a lot like a Minilite. These people claim a long sporting heritage, and
it looks like they make a wide range of sizes and offsets. Note the
centre cap on their whhels says "Superlite".

(Just to confuse even more, Cragar also makes a disk wheel called a
"Superlite", but at least it doesn't look like a Minilite)

I now understand the post from a Brit who said why send them from
UK-AUS-USA - he was talking about SUPERLITE WHEELS LTD. There were
others who asked specifically for the Australian-made wheels. It could
also explain the different info people have found/not found cast into
their wheels.

I will still go ahead and inquire about the exact offsets for the sizes
posted to the list last week. I just want to be sure poeple know they
are not buying a "famous" English wheel from Australia!

Cheers,
Paul.
