      Are you sure it wasn't "four on the tree"? The four cylinder Rootes
saloons usually had four speed manual trannys, sometimes with OD. The major
exception being the six cylinder Humber Super Snipe, which the factory decided
had enough torque to make do with a three speed, unlike the four cylinder
Humber Hawk, which got a four speed.
