The black vinyl curtain should be installed with its good side facing
into the trunk. Its top edge contains a thin aluminium strip (actually
two strips end to end) which enable the top of the curtain to be pop
rivetted (8 rivets) to the lip of metal that hangs down side to side at the
front of the trunk. The sides and bottom of the curtain contain snap
connectors, two on each side and four across the bottom, which snap on to
domes rivetted on the inside of the wheel wells and across the rear edge of
the metal ridge which contains the access to the top of the rear shocks.
As someone else stated, it separates the trunk from the soft top
stowage, but still permits access from the trunk for shocks etc (via the
snap connectors) should that be necessary.
