Yes Jarrid Ford did make Mustang II's with 4-speed transmissions I think the
trans was a sr-74 I am not sure. I am using a flywheel from a 76 Ford
Mustang II. Also only the 2.6 engine came with the odd exaust ports and
these engines were only in Capris. I am in the middle of the same swap in
my SI. I am using a 5-speed from a 86 SVO the gear ratios are just the
correct ones for the V-6. I hope this helps T.C.
