I can only refer to articles that I have read in Classic Auto Restorer
with regard to this issue. Their technical experts say that you cannot
completely flush old fluid out of lines. The end result is that a film
of the old fluid stays bonded to the lines and results in corrosion
because it retains moisture. I have never heard of boiling lines and
would be suspect of that actually working. Why not spend $20 for bulk
3/16" brake line and install it yourself? The stuff bends by hand,
looks good and ensures that you'll have no problems with corrosion.
