Fortunately for you then, there are probably many spots on the car where
there is original paint in very good shape. The Tomato's previous owners
only painted the obvious places, so I just pulled the pad off the
top-cover door and there was "virgin" paint. The colour matched shiny,
like-new paint found under undercoating on the underside of the rear
deck (about the least-touchable spot on the car, I figured). I've read
that only early Series cars were painted all over like mine seems to
have been.
