If I recall some of my environmental classes correctly, one of the early
(still?) measurements of ambient air quality is to place an oridinary rubber
band with a small weight on it in a container, then count the days until the
rubber band breaks. That stuff you boys are breathing down there eats rubber
for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and midnight snack. How are your lungs doing?
