Subject: brake pull...it's driving me nuts !
I'm I getting crazy or have the laws of nature changed in the area
around my Alpine ???
Yesterday I've taken the left front caliper apart and checked
for blockage in the pipes and hoses (all free !).
The only thing I was wondering about is a patch of dust on one of the
brake pads (outside one) which made me think that that one isn't pressed
against the disk enough, which would make sense
I took the caliper apart, which took some force with two pliers
cleaned the lot and verified that the pistons and seals were OK and
moving correctly.
So what do you think when I did a testrun, the bl...y brakes are pulling
even harder to the left !!!!
Then I called in assistance of my girlfriend to push the brakes.
When she presses hard on the brakes both wheels lock, when pressed
lightly the left wheel locks but the right turns when the same force
is applied.
So is this indicating a sticking piston or blockage or what ??
Maybe I should hire an exsorsist !
Thanks Bert
