Wipers

In response to Kevin's inquiry,

one person replied:

All of the wiper arms I have ever gotten with a stock alpine were stainless
steel...Some of the aftermarket ones may be chrome plated steel I don't
know

And someone else replied:

To the best of my knowledge, all Alpines & Tigers came with chrome wiper
arms, the stainless type are replacements after Lucas discontinued the
chrome
ones.

Now I need to add a level here. On my very very late SV, the arms are
certainly stainless. My dad's Tiger has chrome looking arms, but I believe
they are just higher polished stainless, not chrome plated. I will also ad
that the arms on my SV bend in a little different position and rest much
nicer against the bottom edge of the window. I do not know if the ones on
my SV were replacements.

Anyway, here is another item to throw into the pot. In looking for my
extra wiper arms for Kevin, I came across one that bends the opposite way.
That is, my SV ones rest on the passenger side, while the one I found is
bent to rest on the driver's side (that's for us US folks). Did any of the
cars go the other way? Is this something that can be changed?

Jay
