The only way I've found to do this is first you'll need some patience.
Spray the joints with penetrating oil and tap around it with a piece of
wood. Wait for an indeterminate amount of time and repeat the process.
Hopefully within a couple of tries the parts will fall off by themselves.
I'd stay away from the heat, it started this entire process. Usually, when
two pipes are so rusted together, that you cannot get them apart it is also
a sign of deeper oxidation internally. If the pipes don't come apart after
the repeated tries the only thing I know is to replace 'em.
