Not to be disagreeing with you personally Jay, but with todays closed
loop emmisions controls, any engine running within normal emmisions
specs will produce the classical grey-brown plug.
On non-controlled carburreted engines, rich still looks black, and lean
still blisters and burns the electrodes.
