Did a little more checking and the Toyota owners manual says you can't pull
anything more than a Radio Flyer without surge brakes. I can smell burning
brake linings just thinking about the alternative. Guess I'll be finding
another solution. Unfortunately I kinda like my POS for most things, even
though the gas mileage isn't that much better than a REAL truck.
I even looked into renting a camper type rig thinking I might see what its
like to be the cursee rather than the curser on the highway, but the first
one I checked (CruiseAmerica, AKA U-haul) won't let you tow at all except
MAYBE if you get their biggest, fattest, slowest Winnabago and make special
arrangements. ($$Ka-CHINGGGG$$) I'm getting braver all the time.....
