OK Folks, the Sunbeam Calendar is on, assuming everyone who said they'd
order one comes through. Some people said they'd be interested only if
there were pictures of something other than Alpines and Tigers. There
were a few offers of pictures of other models, so I'm hopeful on that
one. Here are the details: The calendar will be 8 1/2 by 11 with
full color photos and important British Car dates noted throughout.
As I've said in the past, the quality will be very good (depending on
the photos submitted, of course) but it will not measure up perfectly
to a commercially released calendar or the TEAE calendars of a few
years ago. You need to mail your payment of $20 per calendar and
pictures (if you want) to Classic Photo Grafx, 2 Ashley Drive, Amesbury,
MA 01913. If you're submitting pictures, please try to get them in by
December 1. From talking with the photographer who will be doing this,
I understand that best results can be achieved from a slide or negative.
E-mail submissions are OK as long as the DPI is above 200, obviously
the higher the better. Dan's e-mail address is DCOUR94552(at)aol.com.
Prints will also work, but the larger, the better. Dan will make every
effort to return your slide, negative, or print with your calendar. But
. . . I will handle the task of assembling dates to be noted on the
calendar. Please e-mail me dates of Sunbeam or other British Car
gatherings or shows, or important dates in Sunbeam history. I'll do my
best to assemble a complete list and forward it to Dan for inclusion in
the calendars. Obviously, Dan will select the best pictures. I
suspect, based on the number of replies to me, that most if not all of
the submitted pictures of acceptable quality will make it into the
calendar one way or another. If you have any questions, let me or Dan
know. Oh yea, could someone on the Tiger list please post this e-mail
over there. I don't want to be accused of spamming the list. Many
thanks.
