I am in the same situation as Chris. Too many people and not enough car. I am looking into towing it behind a Blazer but somebody suggested I disconnect the drive shaft to avoid building up pressure in the transmission. Does this make sense? He said some show car owners mount permanent clips under the car so they can just swing the drive shaft over and clip it out of the way. Personally , I would rather have the Alpine ready to go so I could just unhook from the tow bar and eat up an attractive stretch of road at moments notice. So how about this pressure thing?
