Yes, the stiffness can be tuned by mixing the various weights of fork oil which is pretty neat. Bellray is a good brand, and I have used this in my motorcycle forks (about $3.00/pint, I think). I have talked to Doug Jennings about this conversion, and we decided that one needs some reinforcement metal welded to the body (where the top shock is mounted to the body), and the lower spring mounting plates from a series 3-5. It would be hard to weld that metal from under the car. Maybe roll the car over, on its top, and do it:-) Jan
