Whoa!!! Slow down padna!

Not to put you down, but get the car functional, drive it for a while
learn its quirks and niceties, find out what needs replaced, maintain it
for a while, then after you get bored of that, then you might talk about
popping in a new motor and different tranny.

The OD's gonna cost you, and generally wont gain you much but to drop
some revs.
Sounded in a recent post that your engine was in decent shape to start off,
so consider getting it up to snuff and drive it at least for a bit.

While its fun to get rambunctious on a project like this, its also one
of the leading cause for restoration disaster. Start to many projects,
take to much apart "to restore it', projects get delayed, parts get lost
or misplaced, and next thing you know, the project doesnt seem to have
the same sparkle in your eyes as it did when it was drivable/complete/ECT.

Take a lesson here, there are plenty of people online here that have gotten
in
way over thier heads. My car is no exception, and right now it needs so
much work to put it all right, the car just sits and intimidates me.

Later, we can talk about the pros and cons of:
1) 1725 motors over 1592 motors.
2) OD trannies over STD trannies.
3) Tiger rivets over Alpine rivets.

But go into the experience, well informed, keep to one major project at a
time,
and most important of all, keep the car roadworthy so that you can enjoy it.

Spring approaches.
