Clutch Master Cylinder Rebuild

A little tale of what not to do when rebuilding your master cylinder.
Today was the day. I took of the master cylinder to rebuild it. Having
never done this before, I read all I could find on the subject.
Actually it was really quite easy. I disassembled it and cleaned in
really good. No pitting. Thank goodness.
When I was putting back together, I accidently put the spring in
backwards, even though I had made notes while taking it apart. I pushed
the plunger in and it stayed in. Okay what now.
I had read about this in the archives so it was over to the compressor
to blow it out. Mental Malfunction.
I thought I didn't want the plunger to fly to far so I put my finger
over the hole and put over a piece of wood, (so as to not damage the
plunger). Well with 120 psi on the compressor, needless to say the
plunger came out with great haste. Smashing my left index finger in the
process. WOW. It was just like a hammer hit. I have a swollen finger
and a big ass bruse to boot.
But the good part is that my MC now works perfectly.
