Thanks and radiator questions

Thank you for the information many of you have shared while
I embark on my SV re-restoration. Hopefully, as I come up on
the learning curve on these cars I will be able to make
similar contributions or at least share my experiences.
Alpines are rather rare in northern New England so the
possibilities for contact and information sharing with other
NE owners is very limited. Thanks to this forum, I have
enjoyed and benefited from the collective enthusiasm and
knowledge for the marque that would not have been possible
otherwise. Thanks!

Question time again: I will soon be removing the radiator in
my SV in order to clean up and paint the cross member and
engine compartment in general. The radiator looks a little
suspect with some up the fins exhibiting corrosion. What is
the best way to determine the condition of the radiator?
Will a pressure test be all telling? As long as its out,
should I have it cleaned/boiled/rodded out? Should I have it
recored? Or are there non-original radiators that can be
substituted? Costs involved?
