As Rob indicated that his color code is missing (wear or whatever) so is mine
on my series l - must have been printed on, there is no stamping.
Which brings up a question if anyone can help me. There is an ID plate on the
right side of the engine compt that states:
Nom du Constructeur
Sunbeam Limited Angleterre
Rep...... en France
Rootes Motors S.A.
This plate also contains the same chassis # stamping as the "Coventry" ID
plate attached to the left side. Does this mean the car was manufactured
under license in France or was this plate attached to vehicles exported to
France, or what??
