As all true Lucas devotees know, the 3 positions on Lucas light switches are for "Dim", "Flicker", and "Off".

John Slade was talking about two speed blower motors with some
authority. Thanks for the info John.

This got me to thinking about my dash lights. They are turned on by a
three position switch but are very dim and the two "ON" positions seem
to be the same 'brightness' (or lack thereof). Is there a series
resistor involved in dimming the dash lights? If so where is it? Could
this be a ground problem? Are there supposed to be two levels of dash
light brightness on a series 3 Alpine?

Cheers,
Paul.
