Howdy,
Back in the old days before cars were painted in Mcdonalds and K-mart
themes, each country had it's own color. The Italians were red, the Germans
were silver, the USA was white and blue, the French were blue, and the Brits
were green, etc. At the time Rootes wanted to put out cars that were
different than the "Boy's down at Addington" were racing; MG of course. When
you are stuck with green, it kind of limits your options. You either go
military, leprachan, neon lime, or Seacrest. Answers itself I think. Lou
