Well today was supposed to be a special day. NOT.
I decided that I could take my Series I out for a test drive around the
block..
I backed out of the garage and started down the driveway (100 feet). At
the end of the driveway there was no response from the throttle. So I
stopped, popped the hood and discovered that the linkage had come
undone. Fixed that and as I was putting the hood holding rod down I
accidently touched the solenoid. SPARKS and the engine died.
Tried to start, but nothing. No movement on guages etc. Dragged it
back up the driveway to garage. I have power at the solenoid but
nothing coming out. Does that mean it is shot. I presume so, but I
need to know before I get to busy.
I also now have a couple of pictures of my sunbeam that I took. If
anyone is interested, let me know I'll email them to you. Warning, I
guess I was still shaking from being upset about my screw up, because
they are not very clear.
