Well I had my maiden voyage around the block, actually around two
blocks.
After taking off the rebound straps and rear shocks, I cleaned the
shocks real good, and put motorcycle fork oil in. (they were almost dry)
there was some fluid buy only about a 1/4 teaspoon.
I made new rebound straps out of nylon strapping.
After putting everything back together, I took my Series I down off the
jack stands and started out for a short drive.
Questions.
1. Alignment. I replaced my tie rod ends, and now need an alignment.
Do I need a specialty shop or can any alignment shop do the job.
2. What does it mean when you push on the brakes and the go most of the
way to the floor, but then on the next pump hold firm? Thats what mine
did today.
I've lined up a body shop to paint (Moonstone) sometime in the next
couple of months, after I finish a few more items. I still haven't
figured out the turn signals.
