The jaguar wire wheel hub is the same as Aston Martin, for one. Whether it's
a matter of "design standard" or working out of the same parts bins (dunlop
etc.) is another question.
As for the higher horsepower comment, ferraris through the early '70s (365
daytona) used hubs the same size as alpines, midgets, mgbs, etc. Offset was
radically different, but the hubs match.
On the subject of wheel size, though -- will a 13x6 inch wheel fit?
I don't have to worry about wires, luckily...
