Hi all. Putting veneer on the plastic alp. dash is a snap. The modern veneers
now come with the back side already preglued witha peel-off backing. All you
have to do is apply adhesive to the pastic dash (make sure you prep it first
ie. clean) and carefully apply the veneer in a smooth fashion. Weight it for
the indicated time and carefully cut out the holes. Sand a wee bit and stain
and finish. The finish will last a long time , but as any wood finish, you
have to take care of it. Eaassy enough? You can't tell the difference unless
you stick your head under the dash and it won't warp. After years of
use/abuse/or neglect, strip off the old and start fresh, easy weekend chore
er, labour of love!
