Questions on Stainless Brake Lines and NOS Glue Cans

Just got the S.II master cylinder back from a stainless sleeve job by
one of the sources recommended on this list - done when promised, looks
good, and at what seems a good price. Am pleased so far. Thanks!

I've mulled over options for replacing the metal brake lines while I
have the circuit torn apart. After working out the cost of buying a
bubble flaring tool, lines, fittings, (plus the opportunity cost of my
time), I'm considering having a set fabricated in stainless by one of
the nationally advertized shops. Their initial rough estimate was
$200. I'd have to provide my original lines as patterns.

A few brake related questions for the list:

- Anyone know of problems/warnings in using stainless on brake lines?
- Are there any other LHD S.II owners interested in buying a set? Since
I haven't decided to go this route yet, I'm just looking for some idea
of whether there's any interest in making this something like a "3 set"
deal versus a "1 of".

- The LHD S.II has the external "glue can" master cylinder reservoir
that's NLA at most of the US suppliers I've used. Does anyone have a
source for an NOS/new one of these. I have one that's serviceable, but
in serious need of replating.

TIA,

Bob Douglas
