These studs attach to straps that hold the boot in place, covering the
stowage space, when the soft top is up. The straps are located in the
stowage space and are fixed to the panel that's the backrest (I guess).
 If you look back there you'll see two holes on each side of the panel
on each side of the car. SS sells replacement straps if you don't have
any.
