actually it would take very little pressure to pop out the dent, and
bend up some other part of the tank that you didnt want to.
The large surface area of the tank creates a huge amount of force.

Along the same route as the copper rivets, I have soldered bent
pennies to the creased area (tank filled with water of course), then
used a vise grip and a 2X4 to lever the dent up to propper level.

When its more or less straight, then you can "lead" the repair smooth.

Oh, and lead causes brain damage, but i dont remmember why.
