Spoke with Rick (Sunbeam Specialties) today and mentioned to him our
plan to buy hubcap badges from the Alpine club in Australia. He asked
what they were & I described them. Rick replied, "Oh, we've got
those!" Turns out that Rick sells an enamelled badge that is used on
the rear fenders of Tigers. The badge is a two piece unit, one being
sheild shaped, the other being the round Rootes logo. Rick described
it as approximately 1.5" in diameter (perhaps a Tiger owner can
confirm?) and has two metal tabs on the back that bend to hold it in
place. They sell for about $4 each. Seems to me that these would more
than suffice for hubcap badges. He has about 40-50 in stock and is
planning on ordering more soon.
